Cancellations and No-Show Policy
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, three people suffer, the patient, because treatment is not being received; the Doctor, who has reserved that particular appointment for you personally; and another patient who could have been seen in your place.
Therefore, you have exactly 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to notify us of cancellation. If we do not receive any notification, the following cancellation charges will apply.
If the appointment is on a weekday, we will place a $50.00 charge to your account.
If the appointment is on Saturday, we will place a $75.00 charge to your account.
The charges are for every cancelled or no-show appointment, for each individual scheduled. We can apply additional fees (to include but not limited to) attorney, bill collection fees, and interest if in arrears for more than 30 days.
The charge is not billable to insurance or other payers; it is the patient’s responsibility. If you should experience extenuating circumstances, please contact our Office Manager, who may be able to waive the No Show fee.
We understand that delays can happen however, we must try to keep the other patients and doctors on time. If a patient is 15 minutes past their scheduled time, we have the discretion to reschedule the appointment.
Lastly, if three appointments (Cancellations and No-Show) with no 24-hour notice should occur in a row, at our discretion, we can remove future scheduled appointments from the schedule and dismiss patient.
